Summer of Love featuring the Sirgo Wedding

As the one-year wedding anniversary of Grant and Audrey Sirgo approaches, we daydream of the wonderful event we had the pleasure of serving on July 9th, 2016. At Rosemary’s Catering, we do everything to help make sure events are special, effortless, and memorable for our clients. Our top-of-the-line staff always ensures guests consume delicious food while receiving exceptional service, and our strong relationships with the best venues in Austin, Texas – like The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum – as well as local vendors allows our clients to rest easy knowing they will have beautiful images and create wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

The Sirgo Wedding took place in the 9,750-foot Grand Lobby of The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas. The Museum also features a Rotunda, dance floor, rounded archways, a stunning central staircase, and accent lighting. With a capacity to seat 200 guests, we have the honor to work as the exclusive caterer of this historic Austin venue to help bring their special events to life, including last year’s stunning wedding.

After the Sirgo wedding ceremony concluded, guests of the couple arrived to the Bullock Museum, where they were greeted with passed hors d'oeuvres, wine, and beverages to begin the celebration during a marvelous summer night. And of course, there was an open bar for customized cocktails, too! The bride Audrey and groom Grant arrived shortly after and dined at the Sweetheart Table on the museum’s second floor, overlooking the Grand Lobby as our delicious food stations opened for their guests.

The Sirgo Wedding menu featured a smart and flexible menu that catered to the tastes of all attendees. For starters, our passed hors d'oeuvres included Chicken Fried Steak Bites with Pepper Cream Gravy on Mashed Potato, Fried Artichoke Fritters with Lemon Aioli on a Parmesan Tuile, and New England Crab Cakes with Traditional Rémoulade. To follow, we had three deliciously unique, chef attended food stations – a Meat Carving station, a Seafood station, and a ‘Street’ Taco bar.

At the Carving station, guests had their choice of our in-house Smoked BBQ Brisket or Sausage, accompanied with traditional sides. Our Seafood station featured ice bowls crafted by our in-house ice sculptor that were filled with Jumbo Shrimp, Lump Crab, Crab Claws, Citrus Scallop Ceviche, and Pomegranate Shrimp Ceviche. Last but not least, our ‘Street’ Taco bar let guests choose from Chipotle Chicken or Pork Al Pastor tacos with optional fillings of cotija cheese, cilantro, pickled onions, salsa, and lime wedges. This station also offered a side of Mexican ‘Street’ Corn Cups.

Throughout the magical evening there was the memorable first dances, tear-jerking speeches, and ceremonial cake cutting before the night came to a close with a golden sparkler exit for the  couple at midnight. We are so happy the bride and groom chose our team to fill their guests’ bellies with delights, and on their one year anniversary, we’d like to wish the Sirgo couple a lifetime of happiness and love!
